What Did Jesus Say...

Why should we follow- WHAT JESUS SAID- above all others?

My Brothers and Sisters- inChrist,
I write I come to you, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ-
PEACE BE WITH YOU –

Most Christians I’ve talked with are more excited over the whole Bible than they are INFORMED of WHAT JESUS SAID, in the Bible. I’ve found when you read the 4 Gospels as a whole – one at a time, at one setting, you begin to see the story of Jesus from Matthew, Mark, Luke and Johns point of view. You can’t do it in sound bits, like a movie commercial or book review, it must be consumed, for life impact.

Its said we have to read something ‘completely’ 4-6x before we can begin to understand the information. In preparation for my book about JESUS ,I read the 4 Gospels 10+ times as well as Acts and the Letters. I did not want to be unprepared when representing Christianity or the words of Jesus Christ.

For years I used Apostle Pauls letters most of all, until I prepared for my book-
WHAT DID JESUS SAY- The Seven Messages from the Master –

When I read over an over WHAT JESUS SAID it was clear that if we followed what Jesus said that we would better understand what ALL the Apostles were saying as well. It all came from the Holy Spirit.

When I discovered how the Bible was assimilated and by who and when, I knew why there’s still difficulties surrounding the books in the Bible. And when I read about the many debates among the ‘bible scholars’ who’ve devoted their lives to studying the bible, I also knew how little scholars still agree on the organization and meaning of the Bible. – (even today)

Now let me ask YOU these questions and your answers might reveal your understanding Christianity.

* Do you know what Jesus said in the 4 Gospels- do you follow what Jesus said to do?
* Have you read any one of the 4 Gospels in ‘one setting’- in one day without stopping?
* Have you read the letters from Peter, James and John,- do you obey their instructions?
* Have you read what Paul said- he was a Pharisee, converted by Jesus and led by the Holy Spirit to teach everyone the story from ‘Genesis to the Christ’, do you obey him?

We’ve had access to the Bible now for hundreds of years so when are we expected to actually do what the Bible says and stop just talking as if was a debate over its importance or accuracy?

So many Christians say we must read the WHOLE BIBLE and they call it the WORD OF GOD and say its infallible, and we’re to follow it. And then, they start down the road of excuses saying how IMPOSSIBLE it is to ever be ‘SIN- free’ and ‘walk in Holiness’. That very statement alone is incongruent with what the Bible says, because we know- “With GOD, All things are possible” all the time and we’re told to ‘Be Holy’.

As Christians, we’re instructed to live our life as Christ Jesus tells us- The Holy Spirit wrote the 4 Gospels last, after Peter, James and Paul died. Johns Gospel was written 20 years after Paul died. If Jesus said HIS WORDS COME FROM GOD, then the Holy Spirit wrote it all and Christ is our ultimate example-

Its clear to see the Holy Spirit knew- with the Apostles dead- the time had come to tell the ‘whole story’ about Jesus. All that Jesus did and ALL that He said, taught and commanded us to do. Theres very little the Apostles said to do, that isn’t covered in the ‘words from Jesus’-
(Its all Holy Spirit taught- for us to follow)

Whoever takes the time to know JESUS based on what HE SAID and not what we feel or think, will be surprised to see what JESUS really told us to do. I believe in HIS WORDS, because HE told us to.

I strive to follow HIS EXAMPLE, because HE told us to and I believe HIS WORDS come from GOD, because HE told us so. That doesn’t diminish what anyone else in the Bible said, anymore than what anyone else says in the Bible, can override what JESUS SAID.

Jesus the Christ, is our Lord and Savior.

Remember, God told Jesus what to do (HIS WILL) and what to say, (HIS WORDS). JESUS is our Master Teacher- WE are to be HIS DISCIPLES based on what HE SAID. This also aligns with HIS Apostles too.

Have you ever wondered why so many professed christians are so troubled? They’re primarily angered, complaining, worried and fearful because they lack the knowledge JESUS TAUGHT. When you know what Jesus said, then and only then, we will be able to do what HE SAID we can do.

Until then its lip service and warm fuzzes and lukewarm commitments to being a Christian. I wish that everyone who promotes the Apostles teachings from James to Paul- had the courage to ‘walk as they did’ and not just “talk as they did”. They walked with Jesus, so lets walk with them, as they did with Jesus.

I PRAY- that all lukewarm, uninformed, Christians -wake up and follow their MASTER TEACHER, Jesus Christ so we can ALL become one Body, together in HIS LOVE and EXAMPLE, as HE instructed us too.

And, I thank the FEW who do follow ‘what Jesus said to do, because we need all the examples we can to demonstrate what being a Christian is really like. Being a Christian …. is being Christ-like in all ways.
(the world takes our Christian example more seriously than our Christian advice, and so does God)

Lets end with these ”words from Jesus’-

JESUS said-
“I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance… Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. and- unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven”- “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him–the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed
and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free..

If I can HELP in any way – just let me know-
in HIS LOVE I serve- Amen
